THEORETICAL FRAMEWORK

A theoretical framework is defined as a tool for limiting the relevant scope of data used by laying emphasis on the specified variables, using the defined viewpoint provided in the interpretation and analysis of data to be used. Such enables the validation of the availed theoretical assumptions with an understanding of the availed concepts and variables, which have been accorded their definitions. The need to understand the existent similarities and differences between formal research and business proposals is essential to understand the effective approaches, which could be used to develop highly effective business and formal research proposals (Johnson, 2007).

The identifiable variables usually constitute of the core elements used in the development of either the formal research or business proposals. The differences between the two mainly arise because of the existent goals, which vary in terms of the needed response or expectations to be derived from the two. The goals of either the formal research as well as the business research proposals vary because of their different uses. Hence, the varied goals usually result in diverse focus on information to result in achievement of different goals. Additionally their goals are usually associated with varied in terms of use by various parties.

Independent variables

The goals between the business and formal research proposals are the main differences between the two. Another independent variable is the presence of precise focus exercised by the two forms of research, which results in the different outcomes.

Dependent variables

Variations or differences and similarities in existence between the business and research proposals are determined by the diverse independent variables earlier identified. The variation depends on the identified independent variables in terms of definition and results arrived from the research.

REVIEW OF LITERATURE

Employee relations with the management are vital in the management process. They are aimed at ensuring that the organizational goals and objectives are attained through the maintenance of a healthy workforce through ensuring employee satisfaction. Formal research and business research proposals are applicable to an organization in that they are used to enable the entity achieve its strategic goals and objectives. The differences between formal research and business research are the inherent goals and objectives for which the two research approaches are used in an organizational setting.

The establishment of the necessity of learning towards the achievement of strategic goals and objectives is essentially tantamount to a formal research. This is because it provides for the need to understand specific phenomena in an organizational setting from a cause-effect perspective. Research methodologies could be accrued using actual cause and effect analysis with an aim of providing relevant framework for achievement of the organizational goals and objectives.

Additionally, the understanding of the effects of learning in an organizational setting is vital to understand the research methodologies applicable to enable achievement of organizational goals and objectives. An organizational environment usually provides the conditions necessary for ensuring training of the employees and thus increasing their skills, which is a translation of improved efficiencies. This is due to the improved means of execution of tasks in the organization by the employees with the achieved knowledge and skills. Hence, this ensures achievement of organizational goals such as improved efficiencies and higher customer satisfaction.

Assumptions

Organizational needs, goals and objectives, are the main drivers of the need to ensure employee satisfaction through the development of a good employee-employer relationship. Organizational needs and goals in the use of a formal research and business proposal is aimed at enabling the entity achieve its overall strategic goals and objectives. As provided in the literature, better relationships with the employees ensure that the organization remains in control and subsequently achieve its strategic goals and objectives.

Decision-making is paramount to enable an organization achieve its strategic goals and objectives. This is achievable through the development of adequate strategies for the decision-making process with relation to ensuring employee satisfaction for subsequent achievement of the organizational goals and objectives. It is assumed that the effect of learning in organizations is paramount to an organization in its achievement of strategic goals and objectives.

Part 2: RESEARCH DESIGN

A qualitative research design is appropriate for the research approach of this kind. This is because it is based on the formulation of strategies, which could ensure that an organization develops better strategies for relations with the employees. The investigation is to be used to evaluate the differences and similarities between formal and business research proposals, as they relate to an entity, in terms of the decision making process for subsequent achievement of the organizational strategic goals and objectives. This is paramount in that it would provide an insight into the relationships between the employees and employees because of the organizational learning process. Organizational learning process usually provide an organization with the appraisal means of the skills and knowledge of the employees, as well as providing the organization with the ability of ensuring that it increases the knowledge and skills of employees for subsequent achievement of overall strategic goals and objectives (Burke, & Cooper, 2008).

A comparative investigation is appropriate for this study in that it provides comparative data between formal and business research proposals. The unit of analysis used in the study is the contemporary organization and the ability of such organizations to make decisions with respect to employee needs and wants, as well as the overall organizational goals and objectives. The learning process as highlighted in the literature review is relatively important to the accrual of efficiency from the improvement in skills by the employees. In addition, the study setting could be termed as the natural environment of an entity to enable derive an understanding of the relation of formal and business research proposals in the decision making process of an organization. Such has an effect on the ability to understand the decision-making process and its effects on the relations between employers and employees.

A co-relative investigation is paramount in this study given its nature. This would offer the need to evaluate the factors, which influence the similarities and differences between formal and business research proposals and their respective relations to decision-making process in an organization. The evaluation of the cause and affect of manipulation of variables takes the form of conduct of a field experiment (Beer, et al, 2005).

Researcher interference is usually related to the manipulation of the results and findings of the research process. Such could result in misinformed decision making in the organization resulting in deviations towards the achievement of the organizational goals and objectives. Researcher interference is usually an effect since it determines if the study undertaken is co-relational or causal. A co-relational study usually defines the conduct of a research or study based on the natural environment of an entity with minimal interference to the flow of activities in the organization by the researcher. Researcher interference may also amount to the use of cause and effect approaches to establish the effects of manipulation efforts on the dependent variable of interest.

The time horizon of the study is identified as the time necessary for answering the research question with adequacy. This takes lace in the form of longitudinal studies as the answering of the research question with adequacy. Such provides the need to evaluate the effects of learning in the organization on the efficiencies of the employees. In addition, this would also enable the evaluation of the impact of learning on the relationships between the employees and employers. Such effects would require a relatively longer period to understand the effects of the processes on organizational efficiencies. This is achievable through the evaluation of such in terms of achievement of organizational goals and objectives as well as achievement of organizational efficiency (Bazerman, & Moore, 2012).

In addition, researcher interference in a co-relational investigative study, seeks to understand the effects of manipulation of specific variables. Furthermore, the level of the researcher interference coupled by the type of investigative approach used determines the study setting. A study setting may be in the form, of a laboratory setting which uses a causal approach of investigative study. Other forms of study settings include a field experiment, which involves actual interactions in the field by identifying samples for experimentation.

CONCLUSION

It is evident that a formal research proposal is applicable to the study in that it provides a solution to the issue of strategic management in the organization. Such would provide the much-needed strategies in the management of labor in an organization for the subsequent achievement of organizational goals and objectives, such as improved efficiencies in the organizational process and higher customer satisfaction and loyalty.
